We hiked near the Sarsang reservoir, drove through the bombed-out and deserted city of Aghdam, and visited a very interesting little village in southern Karabagh
Friday morning we took a taxi to Sarsang reservoir. We did not know of any good trails to hike, but this road looked good.

We took a minibus back to Stepanakert. To our surprise, it went through the occupied zone near the abandoned city of Aghdam

Aghdam was an Azeri city of 100,000. The population fled with the Azeri army, as the Armenians beat them back. Now this city that stretched all the way to the horizon lies completely emtpy and quiet.
