Astghik's mother occasionaly works in this observatory in the city. Years ago it was used to keep track of US satelites.

For brief moments the clouds parted and we saw Jupiter with some of its moons and its bands of clouds clearly visible.

On a particularly clear morning.

The fortress was built in 782 BC by the Urartu king Arghisti I "For the glory of his nation and the horror of his enemies," as states a cuneiform tablet found on the site. It was rediscovered in the 1950's.

So I was playing poker with these two lounge lizards, and as the pot grew to 100,000 Drams I called and showed four Jacks, but one of the reptiles had four Kings. It's then that I noticed the ace of spades sticking out from under one of the cold-blooded bastard's scales. "You fork-tounged cheat!" I yelled, as the other lizard threw his cards in my face and scampered under a rock. I pulled my switch-blade and lunged at the first one, but I was too slow, and I was left with just his detached, wriggling tail in my hand as the rest of him ran into the thickets. True story.
